Street Fighter V Tutorial:How to mod Charather Voice
Step 1 open the eternity_audio_tool

Step 2 Press the file button and open

Step 3 Then go to your Street Fighter V File Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/StreetFighterV/StreetFighterV/Content/Chara/___/Sound and select the ___ _CV_E (E for eng and J for japanese)

Step 4 click on the sound you want to replace and click on the Replace button. Once it's clicked you will now search for the .wav file of the sound you want to use. Open it and Eternity will ask you some questions (Would you like to loop it, Your channels are different than the original sound etc). Click Yes to every popup and the file will now be replaced with your own sound(You'll be able to preview the sound that you replaced by pressing the Play button in Eternity)

Step 5 After you are done, you will Click on File > Save to overwrite the original sound on the file sound file

Step 6 To test it you'll need to have the folder structure like you saw in the Templates which is StreetFighterV\Content\Chara\___\Sound

step 7 Copy and paste a copy of your modified Chara folder into your Modmanager folder

Step 8. Launch SF5 with your modmanager to test it
cool,I did it,but Akuma has 79 voice line to replace...after replace 16 of them one by one,I give up and continue playing other characters
Does this still work?
Edit:Nvm think I figured it out
I am trying to change some of the sounds, specifically some of the character voices with profanity in them.  I am using the Eternity Audio Tool v. 0.91.  One example is Balrog.  However, when I look in my SFV folder, there are only 23 folders in the D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\StreetFighterV\StreetFighterV\Content\Chara folder.  There seem to be a lot missing.  I know for certain I have looked previously, and seen all the character folders.  I also incidentally looked in every single folder there, and there is no Balrog.  The characters show up in game.  Does anyone know why they are missing?  Are they in a different location?  What can I do to fix it?  I have already verified the Steam Integrity several times.  Here is the folder in question.  Am I looking in the wrong place?

Image of chara folder (Not sure why, but the image does not work)

Seeing the screenshot of your Chara folder, your game is from a very old version (to be exact, it was from S1 / year 2016 version) because they still used the cryptic character codes (eg. Ryu = ABD, etc). You better discard that game version and go getting the latest version instead (doesn't matter if you get the cracked version or buy the legit version from Steam, they are still the same game).

After you have gotten the actual game (latest version is SFVCE v5.051), make sure to extract the game pak files using the guide below then you will get the Balrog (code = BSN) folder in your Chara folder.

I actually bought it on Steam, and it loads the 5.051 update every time.  I have even verified files from Steam.  How do I go about doing that?  I have a legitimate purchased copy.  It is weird too, because I know recently, like a week ago, I looked in the folder after I bought the Champion Edition upgrade, and all the folder names were there, like CNL and the ones that are not cryptic.  All the players are still available, and selectable, so I am not sure where the game is loading them from.  Come to think about it, I actually bought it in 2016, I wonder if that is somehow making a difference?  I might try deleting the game, and redownloading it.  If you have any other ideas or suggestions, I'd be happy to try them as well.

Probably it's better if you just uninstall the game, delete the whole game folder (StreetFighterV folder) to make sure there is no old files anymore, then re-install / re-download the game again from Steam.
OK, I uninstalled it, deleted it, and reinstalled it, and now, in the chara folder, there is only ALX.  This might be a dumb question, but do I need to extract all the files first, in order to make any changes, or even view the files?

Edit, oops, I guess I had previously extracted the files several years ago, and put them in the main SFV folder, and had forgotten about it now, so I assumed the extracted files were the regular game files.  Extracting now, hopefully it will work.  Thanks for the help.

Those "several years ago" files are very outdated, please make sure to not use them and delete them asap. And from now on please only extract the game files from the latest pak files (in the "\Steam\SteamApps\common\StreetFighterV\StreetFighterV\Content\Paks" folder) using the guide here

That's exactly what I did, I must have overlooked it earlier.  Thanks again for the help!
Hello, I want to try this out but my issue is that the character folders are missing and I'm not sure where they are located. I have C drive and D drive, and I installed Street Fighter V in the D drive which is the Data drive. I'm looking through folders where the steam games are, picked street fighter v. I then went to look into folders where the chara folder is supposed to be but it's not there for some reason. Any ideas? I assumed that it's because of the mods I've installed through fluffy manager 5000 so I uninstalled them. But it wasn't the solution to my problem.

Did you extract the game .pak files?

No I haven't, and I just noticed I've posted this in the wrong thread. My apologies.
